Abstract
This study investigates PVDF-HFP-modified p–i–n perovskite solar cells (PSCs) under space-relevant coupled vacuum, light, and thermal stress conditions. Under combined vacuum and light (V+L) stress, PVDF-HFP-modified devices retain 85.1% of their initial power conversion efficiency (PCE) after 1000 h, compared with 74.6% for pristine devices. Under vacuum and heat (V+H) stress, PVDF-HFP effectively suppresses phase degradation and mitigates electronic disorder. Interface-resolved analysis further identifies the perovskite/PCBM (PVSK/PCBM) junction as the primary site of thermally induced failure. Weibull-Arrhenius analysis reveals that PVDF-HFP-modified devices exhibit a higher activation energy than pristine devices (0.95 eV vs 0.83 eV), together with a longer predicted room-temperature lifetime (2491 h vs 1444 h). These results demonstrate that PVDF-HFP is an effective strategy for enhancing the reliability of PSCs under coupled space-relevant stress conditions.
