Abstract
Perovskite solar cells have made radical progress over the past 20 years, recording an efficiency of 3.8% to 26%[1]. There are many methods to make perovskite films, but among them, spin-coating is the most popular way to make perovskite films[2]. It has been pointed out that, by using one step method, it is difficult to obtain uniform perovskite films with well surface coverage. The two-step method is approached to improve high quality perovskite film and can fabricate perovskite film under the relatively high humidity, where the relative humidity less than 60%[3]. So, In this study, by introducing CsI dense homogeneous perovskite films with high crystallinity, preferential orientation, and a pure black perovskite phase were prepared. In addition, the carrier lifetime of perovskite films was significantly increased because of the suppressed nonradiative recombination. Correspondingly, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of small-area devices using CsI regulation was increased from 17.45 to 20.29%. Furthermore, the device showed excellent stability maintaining 80% of its initial PCE after 350 h of continuous irradiation. This study demonstrates that added CsI is a reliable way to prepare PSCs for practical applications.
