Abstract
Perovskite solar cells are already well known due to the advantages of easy manufacturing and low cost [1] Therefore, it has made radical progress over the past 20 years, recording an efficiency of 3.8% [2] to 25%. There are many methods to make perovskite films, but among them, spin-coating is the most popular way to make perovskite films [1]. It has been pointed out that, by using one step method, it is difficult to obtain uniform perovskite films with well surface coverage. This problem is the main reason for the degradation of perovskite solar cells. The two-step method is approached to reduce the degradation. [3]. And in the two-step method, the rough surface of PbI2 allows for a flatter and smoother perovskite surface. Therefore, in this study, we will discuss the effect of doping Ceisum iodide (CsI) in the PbI2 to produce rough surface. Doping CsI helps to obtain a slightly flatter and softer perovskite film. Improvements on surface coverage result in high Voc. It also records high Jsc due to a decrease in pinholes, and FF is also improved. The red-shift effect of cesium leads to absorb a wider wavelength of light. Device with doping 0.10M CsI achieves efficiency of 18.96% that is better than that of 17.48% of the pristine one.
