Abstract
Advancing perovskite solar cell (PSC) technology towards commercial viability necessitates highly efficient and scalable fabrication methods. This research introduces a groundbreaking, scalable technique for enhancing PSC performance through a unique hybrid SnO₂/mesoporous TiO₂ (m-TiO₂) electron transport layer (ETL). By precisely applying SnO₂ over m-TiO₂ using chemical bath deposition (CBD), the study achieves superior electron transport and defect passivation, crucially simplifying the device architecture by negating the need for a compact TiO₂ layer. Devices fabricated with this method exhibit an unprecedented power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.62%, alongside a robust fill factor (FF) of 79.62% and remarkably low hysteresis. A key highlight is the demonstrated scalability of this approach: large-area PSCs, produced through screen printing and batch CBD, showed exceptional uniformity, with PCEs consistently ranging from 21.75% to 23.52% across various sub-cells. This innovative and scalable hybrid ETL design offers a significant leap forward, paving the way for the widespread deployment of next-generation perovskite photovoltaics.
